Oberwolfach Seminar: Conformal Invariance in Mathematical Physics

Date:
November 4th - November 10th, 2007
Organizers:
Scott Sheffield, New York
Stanislav Smirnov, Geneva/Stockholm
Wendelin Werner, Paris
Programme:
We present an overview of emerging topics in SLE theory, including recent work on the Ising model, loop soups and conformal loop ensembles, percolation, and the Gaussian free field. The primary prerequisite is a basic background in probability and SLE (at the level of Greg Lawler's introductory textbook, Wendelin Werner's St. Flour lecture notes, and/or this year's SLE summer school courses in Park City). The courses are designed for advanced graduate students and recent Ph.D. recipients who are working or preparing to work on research problems in this area.
Deadline for applications:
September 30th, 2007

The seminars take place at the Mathematisches Forschungsinstitut Oberwolfach. The number of participants is restricted to 24. The Institute covers accommodation and food. Travel expenses cannot be reimbursed. Applications including
