Funding

The Mathematisches Forschungsinstitut Oberwolfach is a member of the Leibniz-Gemeinschaft.

Long-term decisions and financing of all programmes are shared by the German federal government and the governments of all the local states of Germany, with emphasis on the German local state of Baden-Württemberg.

Also the Förderverein (Friends of Oberwolfach, Verein zur Förderung des Mathematischen Forschungsinstituts Oberwolfach e.V.) and the Oberwolfach Stiftung (Oberwolfach Foundation, a foundation of public utility within the Förderverein) support the Institute in a substantial way. Funding of the MFO is possible either directly, or via the Förderverein or the Oberwolfach foundation, and is tax deductible. We are very grateful to all who have supported or will support the MFO in this way.
