Here you can find short descriptions of our programmes with the schedule of events in the sub items (or in the item Annual Schedules) together with electronic documents and photos. For the participants of these programmes, the MFO offers full board free of charge. Travel expenses cannot be covered. The Workshop Programme
This is the traditional, well-established programme of weekly workshops with 45-48 participants. Participation is by personal invitation by the Director, upon the recommendation of the organisers. The workshops are organised by leading international experts in the field. [more]
The Mini-Workshop Programme
In this programme, it is possible to hold mini-workshops of 15-16 participants in certain fixed weeks. These workshops are aimed especially at junior researchers and hot developments, and the decision takes place only half a year before the date. The mini-workshops are also scheduled for one week. The Research in Pairs Programme
This aims at small groups of 2-4 researchers from different places working together in Oberwolfach for 2 weeks up to 3 months on a specific project. Applications should be addressed to the Director. [more]
The Oberwolfach Arbeitsgemeinschaft
The idea of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft is to learn by giving a lecture on some new results which have been found recently by other researchers working in some specific topic. Organisers and topics for the next Arbeitsgemeinschaft are proposed during the current Arbeitsgemeinschaft. Participation is by application to the organisers. [more]
The Oberwolfach Seminars
The Oberwolfach Seminars are organised by leading experts in the field and address postdocs and Ph.D. students from all over the world. The aim is to introduce about 24 participants to a particular hot development. We are pleased that the Carl Friedrich von Siemens Foundation has decided to support the Oberwolfach Seminars from summer 2008 to summer 2013. Applications should be addressed to the Director. [more]
