published in the annual reports of the MFO.

The next Oberwolfach Lecture will be held by Prof. Camillo De Lellis (Zürich) at the MFO on October 15th, 2016, at 5:30 pm, on the following subject:

Title: Nash-Kuiper, Onsager's Conjecture and the Borisov-Gromov Problem
Abstract: I will explain some interesting connections between a well known conjecture of Lars Onsager in the theory of turbulence and a technique pioneered by Nash to produce counterintuitive solutions to (some) systems of PDEs. These connections, found in joint works with László Székelyhidi, provide a link between Onsager's statement and a question raised by Borisov and Gromov on isometric embeddings of surfaces in the Euclidean space. I will also report on the most recent progresses in both questions.
