Banach Center - Oberwolfach Graduate Seminars

The “Banach Center – Oberwolfach Graduate Seminars” are organized in cooperation with the Institute of Mathematics (Banach Center) of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IMPAN) and take place at the conference center in Będlewo. Like the Oberwolfach Seminars, the seminars are aimed at doctoral candidates and postdocs from all around the world. Leading experts in the field introduce the participants into a particular hot development.


Upcoming Seminars

For information on upcoming seminars, please visit our annual schedule of training activities. The seminars usually take place in fall/winter and are usually announced about 9 months in advance. For each seminar we will provide an individual website with more details on the mathematical content and the course of the seminar, as well as on prerequisites, references and basic literature, if applicable.

Participation

Ph.D. students and postdocs, having received their Ph.D. not more than 10 years ago, are invited to apply. The number of participants is restricted to about 30 persons. Applications including title, ID and date of the intended seminar, together with one pdf-file attached containing

  • full name, email, and university/institute address,
  • short CV and publication list,
  • present position,
  • name of supervisor of Ph.D. thesis
  • and a short summary of previous work and interest

should be sent by e-mail prior to the deadline to seminars@mfo.de.
