In memory of Maria Remenyi
(March 24, 2026) We mourn the passing of Dr. Maria Remenyi, a passionate historian of mathematics with whom we had the privilege of collaborating closely for several years.
Maria Remenyi made significant research contributions to the history of the MFO. In particular, she played an important role in building the Oberwolfach Digital Archive (ODA) and in 2025 she co-edited a volume on the early conferences in Oberwolfach together with Volker Remmert. Her dedication, insight, and warmth left a lasting mark on these projects and on everyone who worked with her.
