Ph.D. students and postdocs are invited to apply for the "Oberwolfach Seminars" and the "Banach Center – Oberwolfach Graduate Seminars" in 2023. Both seminar series are organized by leading experts in the field, and address to promising early career researchers from all over the world. The aim is to introduce the participants to a particular interesting development.

Important information for visitors: MFO goes back to the traditional workshop format again with participants attending in person. This year's Oberwolfach Lecture on the occasion of the annual meeting of the Oberwolfach committees was given by Andreas Thom on "Approximation and Stability of Groups". We thank Andreas Thom for his very exciting talk. A summary of the lecture will be published in the Annual Report 2022.
The MFO congratulates the winners of the Fields medal in 2022. In order to present their research areas the institute has prepared a special book display in the library building where our guests can browse through literature related to their work.
