The MFO is pleased to spread the call of the European Mathematical Society (EMS) for membership.
The MFO engages as the German partner center for the CIMPA-ICTP Fellowships program "Research in Pairs" launched by the Centre International de Mathématiques Pures et Appliquées (CIMPA) and the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP). This week the first laureate has visited Oberwolfach.
The book written by Willy Dörfler, Marlis Hochbruck, Jonas Köhler, Andreas Rieder, Roland Schnaubelt and Christian Wieners presents the lecture notes from the Oberwolfach Seminar on wave phenomena given in 2019 at the MFO.

Important information for visitors: MFO goes back to the traditional workshop format again with participants attending in person. In connection with a general restriction of our capacity due to staff shortage, workshops will end on Friday afternoon, hence Friday is also the general departure day (change will be effective after March 4th, 2023).
The MFO is keeping a close eye on current developments and follows the instructions of the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg, the Federal Ministry of Health, the Robert Koch Institut (RKI) and the World Health Organization. New guidelines and recommendations may very quickly result in the adjustment of our measures. Please inform yourself regularly on our website.
